The PTA is the Parent Teacher Association at Peover Superior Primary School, it is also known as Friends of the School Association (FOSA).
Everyone who has a child at Peover Superior School is automatically a member of the PTA. However, we do have a small group of parents and staff who meet regularly to plan fund raising events, discuss new ideas, and agree on areas where the money raised can be spent. All year groups are represented from Reception through to Year 6.
Our aim is:
To provide ‘the extra's' for the children, such as new library books, trips to the pantomime or playground equipment. This is primarily done through organising specific fund raising events. In the past few years we have hosted Cheese and Wine evenings, quiz nights, school discos, Easter Egg hunts, and Mother’s Day sales. Our calendar highlight is the Summer Fair which has proven to be a great afternoon for the whole school and village to enjoy.
The PTA is not all about raising money, it is also a chance to meet parents from other year groups and make new friends.
For the PTA to run events there must always be a Chair, a Treasurer and a Secretary, but most importantly interest and support from both parents and staff.
In October, we will be holding the AGM to find some new volunteers and fill some key positions. We would welcome anyone who is interested in being a part of the PTA to come forward at this time.
For further information, please contact the current Chair - Claire Sheehan or the school directly.
