An amazing start!

Hello Reception!

What an absolutely amazing start you have all had to school this September. We have had lots of wonderful learning take place in our outdoor area, enjoying the September sunshine.

The first two weeks of school we explored the book 'While We Can't Hug' having discussions around what we enjoy to do at school? How can we show ourselves as good friends? What can we do to show others we love them? The children all came up with so many wonderful ideas, and it engaged some amazing discussion points too!

We have been looking at our numbers, in particular the numbers 1, 2 and 3. We are beginning to focus on recognising numbers in a different variation, forming numbers and can we identify numbers in our everyday routines?

Reception have been busy during their first couple weeks at school adapting to their new routine excellently, making lots of new friends and getting involved in their new experience of starting school!

We have lots of fun and exciting things planned for the next part of our first half term at school - such as exploring the book 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers and our numbers up to 10!

Well done Reception, what an amazing start to your time at Peover Superior Primary School. I am very proud of you all!
