Enrichment 2026_2027

Helping Every Child Thrive
At Peover Superior Primary School, we believe that education is about so much more than academic success. It is about creating opportunities that inspire curiosity, nurture confidence, develop character and ensure every child feels that they truly belong.
Our exciting new Enrichment Programme sits at the heart of school life, providing meaningful experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom and help every child flourish as a learner, a friend and a valued member of our community.
Through a carefully planned programme of monthly enrichment experiences, our children develop the knowledge, skills and personal qualities they need not only to achieve, but to thrive.
A Year of Memorable Experiences
Every month, our whole school explores a different enrichment theme, carefully chosen to support children's personal development while reflecting our school values of Care, Achieve and Believe.
From developing a strong sense of belonging in September, to celebrating giving, curiosity, community, creativity, wellbeing and team spirit throughout the year, each experience has been thoughtfully designed to build confidence, resilience, empathy and leadership.
Children learn through real-life experiences including:
- Forest School adventures
- Residential visits
- Theatre experiences
- Community projects
- Environmental and sustainability activities
- Creative arts
- Sporting challenges
- Leadership opportunities
- Visitors and workshops from our local community
These are the experiences children remember long after they leave primary school.
Belonging at the Heart of Everything We Do
Our enrichment programme brings children together in mixed-age House Teams, allowing younger children to learn from older role models while older pupils develop leadership, responsibility and compassion.
Working together across the school strengthens friendships, encourages teamwork and creates a genuine sense of family where everyone is known, valued and included.
We want every child to walk through our doors knowing:
"I belong here. I matter here. I can make a difference here."
When children feel safe, connected and valued, they develop the confidence to take risks, embrace challenges and become resilient learners who are ready for the future.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Our enrichment programme is underpinned by the Mini Duke Passport, ensuring every activity contributes towards a progressive journey of personal development.
Rather than isolated events, each experience builds upon previous learning, allowing children to develop essential life skills year after year.
Throughout their journey at Peover Superior Primary, children develop:
- Confidence and independence
- Leadership and teamwork
- Curiosity and creativity
- Communication and collaboration
- Emotional resilience
- Respect and empathy
- Responsibility and citizenship
- Environmental awareness
- Pride in themselves and their school
These are the qualities that enable children not simply to succeed in school, but to flourish in life.
Enrichment for Every Child
We are committed to ensuring every child can access the rich opportunities our programme offers.
Whether through carefully adapted activities, additional support, mixed-age collaboration or financial assistance where needed, our enrichment programme is fully inclusive because we believe every child deserves the chance to discover new passions, develop hidden talents and experience success.
Creating Lifelong Memories
At Peover Superior Primary, enrichment is not an 'extra'.
It is an essential part of who we are.
It is where confidence grows.
Where friendships flourish.
Where curiosity is sparked.
Where leadership begins.
Where children discover their strengths.
Where our community comes together.
Most importantly, it is where children learn that they belong.
Together, we are creating a school where every child is inspired to explore, encouraged to contribute and empowered to thrive.
