Welcome back! I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break, making lots of special memories with your families. I am so excited to welcome the children back for the new autumn term, filled with opportunities for learning, discovery and new experiences.
This term, we will be exploring a range of engaging topics, developing new skills and continuing to build confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. I am looking forward to getting to know the children, supporting their progress and celebrating all of their achievements along the way.
We are also very fortunate to have the support of Miss Moores, who will be working with us each day to help provide the best possible learning experiences for the children.
I am really looking forward to a fantastic term ahead and can’t wait to see the children thrive as we learn, grow and achieve together. Let’s make this a term full of curiosity, confidence and kindness!

Our Autumn Term1_ 2026 Curriculum Overview

General Reminders:
- P.E is on a Wednesday and Friday, children can come to school wearing their P.E kit on these days. Please ensure that all PE kit is clearly labelled.
- Children in Sycamore Class should have a book bag where they can keep their reading folder and any important letters.
- Reading books will be changed weekly on a Friday. Your child will have a fully decodable phonic book to read as well as a sharing book to read and enjoy with the family.
- Your child will have weekly 'Home Learning' sent home on a Friday. This may be linked to phonics, maths or wider curriculum work based on PurpleMash or EdShed.
- Children need to have a named water bottle, which will stay in school all week.
- Y1/2 children need a waterproof coat and wellies/outdoor shoes for our outdoor play.
