Autumn 1 BLOG

See what amazing things we have been getting up to this Autumn!

We have all settled so well back into the new school routines since having so much time off school! The children began the half term looking at ways to show people we love them and care for them whilst socially distancing. We did a lot of work around our locality and what makes us special with an emphasis on our school community.

In maths we have looked closely at place value and ensuring we all have a super understanding of what each number means and different ways to make it. We have been working really hard counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and counting forwards and backwards within 100.

Within the wider curriculum we have been exploring the school grounds, sketching what we can see and completing many self-portraits- we are getting much better at adding details!

I want to say a massive thank you to the amazing children in class 1 and their families who have settled in so well. You have all been incredible and made my job as teacher a very easy one. I want this to continue on the run up to Christmas, you are amazing and super and I am very proud of you!

Keep posted for more updates during the next half term!
