Summer Term starts here!

What will Class 3 be learning about this term?

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday!  I certainly did - I got married and went on my honeymoon!

I cannot believe the Summer Term has already arrived!  It is always the busiest term in school, especially for Class 3 as we have all of our Leavers' celebrations coming up!

In English, our first text is Macbeth.  We are going to be studying Andrew Matthews' version of the text but we will also learn a lot about William Shakespeare too.  We will spend the first two weeks writing character descriptions, before moving onto writing poetry and narratives.

In Maths, we will complete our Fractions unit and then move onto Decimals and Percentages.  For the first two weeks we will be working on the 8 times table and then we will be moving onto the 12 times table.

In P.E, we will be playing tennis on Mondays and tri-golf on Thursdays!  Watch out Djokovic and Tiger Woods!  In History, we will be learning about the Mayan Civilisation.  In Geography, we will be learning about climate zones, biomes and the distribution of natural resources.  We will then study the brilliant work of Sir David Attenborough.

In Science, we will be learning about Evolution and Inheritance.  In R.E, our faith this half term will be Christianity; we will be learning about Jesus' life.  In Art, we will be studying and comparing the works of Michelle Reader and Veronika Richterova.  In Computing, we are going to be coders.  You will be tasked with creating a multi-level game then you will advertise it to other people.

As you can tell, it's going to be a VERY busy half term so let's get started!

I'll write again soon.
