New half term here we go!

Class 3 have made an excellent start to their year - they have settled in brilliantly and Miss Woodward is really pleased with their hard work so far!

This half term, Class 3 will be focusing on the book: The Boy at the Back of the Class.  To begin with, we will be focusing on getting to know the characters in the story and using the book as a stimulus for writing character descriptions of our own.  

In Maths, we will be finishing off our Multiplication and Division unit before moving onto our first Geometry unit of the year: Properties of Shapes.  We will be focusing on the 4, 8 and 12 times tables and trying to make sure children have a quick and accurate recall.

In Geography, we will be learning about Earth's place in space and the natural resources our country has to offer.

In History, we will be learning about wars through time, starting with the Battle of Hastings in 1066.  

It's going to be a great half term in Class 3.  I can't wait!
