Class 2's Trip to Poole's Cavern!

Class 2's Trip to Poole's Cavern

On Wednesday 6th November, Class 2 visited Poole's Cavern in Buxton. In the morning the children had a guided tour of the cavern and learnt about how it was formed, what it was used for and the different types of rocks there (including stalactites and stalagmites).

Later on in the afternoon, the children used an 8-point compass to navigate themselves from Poole's Cavern up Grinlow Hill and up to Solomon's Temple! The views over the Peak District were amazing and the children had a fabulous day!
